In an historic move, livestock exporter Gold Land has overseen the shipment of 20,960 cattle from Colombia’s coastal departments, reaffirming its commitment to local economies and solidifying its crucial role in the global livestock market. The cattle were transported aboard the Nada, the world’s largest vessel for livestock transportation, bound for Egypt.
This operation, which involved more than 1,000 truck trips from certified farms to the port, served as a significant economic catalyst for the country’s cattle-raising regions, generating employment and stimulating multiple sectors. Among the key beneficiaries were truck drivers, who covered routes from farms to embarkation points, as well as cowhands, food vendors, hotels, and fuel stations, all of which saw a significant uptick in economic activity.
Furthermore, the process involved cattle purchases from over 300 farms, underscoring the scale and impact of Gold Land’s work within rural communities. Each operation of this magnitude not only strengthens Colombia's foreign trade but also drives domestic economic growth, benefiting thousands across the cattle supply chain.
With this successful endeavor, Gold Land cements its leadership in livestock exports, showcasing its ability to connect Colombia's agricultural heartland with international markets, while fostering sustainable economic development in the nation’s cattle-producing regions.
